ROB ZOMBIE Performs With New Bassist On 'Letterman': Video Available

May 26, 2006

A video clip of ROB ZOMBIE's live performance of the track "American Witch" on CBS' "Late Night Show with David Letterman" — which was taped Wednesday afternoon (May 24) for broadcast later that night — has been posted online at YouTube.com. The appearance marked ZOMBIE's live debut with new bassist Matt Montgomery (a.k.a. Piggy D.; ex-AMEN/WEDNESDAY 13),who joined the group as the replacement for the recently departed Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (also ex-CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER). As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on May 11, Nicholson left Zombie earlier in the month in order to join OZZY OSBOURNE's recording/touring band.

Zombie will be teaming up with ANTHRAX for the "American Witch Across America" tour beginning on June 30 in El Paso, Texas. Rob is also expected to be joining GODSMACK on tour as a co-headliner this fall.

"Educated Horses", Zombie's third solo album, has sold 270,000 copies in the U.S. since being released on March 28.

"The Haunted World of Superbeasto", an animated film based on Zombie's El Superbeasto comic book character, will be out later this year. The rocker-turned-filmmaker is also working on the script for his third live-action feature.
